緣起
惠風舞蹈工作室成立於民國八十年，積極參與客家舞蹈創作及海峽兩岸民族舞蹈文化的交流，編排深具客家與中華民族特色的舞作，巡迴國內外各地演出。
多年有計畫的編排深具客家民族風貌的系列舞作，如編演大型客家舞劇【客家山河路】，將客家先民自唐山到台灣的心路歷程，以舞蹈的方式詮釋出來。之後又編排客家童謠舞蹈和客家生活舞蹈等巡迴各縣市演出，受到熱烈的迴響。
此外，海峽兩岸開放藝術交流後，先後走訪北京，瀋陽，大連等地，觀摩學習地方秧歌舞蹈，到雲南，貴州，桂林各地區的實地采風場所舞蹈，並延聘北京，雲南，甘肅舞蹈學院資深教授來台教學，並編排，演出一系列民族舞蹈，贏得滿堂彩。
惠風舞蹈工作室並非非大型舞團，仍然擁有固定舞者，並定期推出舞碼與觀眾見面，展演地點包括國內各縣市文化局演藝廳，藝文中心以及大型文化藝術活動戶外邀演，並獲客家委員會，外交部與文化部指導，參加西班牙、美國、捷克、馬來西亞及匈牙利等國際藝術節活動演出，將客家舞蹈藝術推向國際藝術殿堂。
以客家元素，客家觀點，客家行動，將台灣客家文化編織成一出出美麗動人的舞蹈，展現在國內外觀眾眼前；並由行政院文化建設委員會評選為“傑出演藝團隊”，客家委員會評選為「輔導藝文團隊」殊榮。
惠風舞蹈工作室，往往無多餘的支出，得以進行熱愛藝術的滿腔熱血，能將苗栗的舞蹈文化引入精緻藝術中，也是一件美好的事！
Founded in 1991, Hui Fong Dance Group (HFDG) is dedicated to collecting, recording and preserving Hakka folk songs and dance choreography. In addition to its regular tours in Taiwan, HFDG has also been invited to perform in Japan, Spain, USA, Czech Republic, Malaysia, and Hungary, and successfully promoted Hakka dance to the international level.
Hungary
HFDG’s dedicated dancers and choreographers systematically present series of Hakka folk dances. HFDG’s masterpiece, “The Grand Voyage of Hakka”, a five-act historical dance drama, interprets the life of early Hakka immigrants who went through rugged terrain from mainland China to Taiwan. Moreover, HFDG also choreographed a series of Hakka nursery rhyme dances, Hakka dance dramas, and Hakka musicals. All of these have been performed all over Taiwan and have gained enthusiastic and encouraging responses.
HFDG has received many national awards and earned a positive international recognition. In 2000, 2002, and 2010, HFDG was honored with “Outstanding Performance Troupe Award” by Council for Cultural Affairs of Taiwan, the nation’s foremost authority on the cultural and art sectors. Between 2006 and 2020, HFDG was also awarded as “Supported Culture and Performing Art Group” by Council for Hakka Affairs of Taiwan. In addition to its domestic achievements, HFDG was broadly invited to perform overseas, including Festival International de Danzas de Villablanca (Huelva, Spain) in 2001, The Las Vegas VII Annual World Folk Festival in 2010, the ΧΧ International Folk-lore Festival Písek in 2014, 10th Sabah International Folklore Festival 2015, 38th Nemzetközi Folklórnapok Sárvár 2018.
Even with limited resources, HFDG has been passionately promoting Hakka dances, and musicals. Continuing and sharing the heritage of Hakka culture via dance is central to our mission.
